Fiber Arts Classes for Children and Adults

Fairfield County, CT

Our introductory fiber arts classes teach fundamental sewing skills, including cutting fabric, hand sewing, embroidery, and basic sewing construction. We build on these foundational skills in advanced classes where students learn machine sewing, additional construction techniques, design, and textile art including dyeing and block printing.

Our mission is to:

  • inspire people to examine how art & creativity can have function & purpose in their lives

  • teach people how to make something useful and beautiful

  • encourage sustainability and repurposing

  • support the handmade movement

  • give back to our community

We believe that where we teach is equally as important as what & why we teach, and we know that smaller, cozy & familiar classroom settings provide the best results. We currently offer our classes for third - fifth graders as part of after-school enrichment programs at elementary schools in Fairfield, CT. We also offer Moms' Nights Out held in your home.
