Fiber Arts Classes for Children and Adults
Fairfield County, CT
What We Teach
Our introductory fiber arts classes teach fundamental sewing skills, including cutting fabric, hand sewing, embroidery, and basic sewing construction. We build on these foundational skills in advanced classes where students learn machine sewing, additional construction techniques, design, and textile art including dyeing and block printing.

Our mission is to:
-
inspire people to examine how art & creativity can have function & purpose in their lives
-
teach people how to make something useful and beautiful
-
encourage sustainability and repurposing
-
support the handmade movement
-
give back to our community

Why We Teach
Where We Teach
We believe that where we teach is equally as important as what & why we teach, and we know that smaller, cozy & familiar settings provide the best results. We offer small group classes for all ages in schools or private homes. Our teen & adult classes are held both online and in-person. We also offer private sewing, embroidery, and fiber art lessons.
