I loved being part of a new community of stitchers, from all levels. For every square/stitch there were several takes on how to do it. Beginners or seasoned stitchers were challenged. I'll be back next year!

As a crafter who never feels like she has enough time to sit down and finish a whole project, embroidery bingo was the perfect combination of learning something new, actually finishing a project, and crafting in a supportive group. I especially enjoyed the low-pressure, high-creativity approach from Hannah and Bonnie who would demo the stitches very clearly and then allow us to use them as we pleased.

I was a complete beginner to embroidery and I left the class feeling confident about basic stitches and also had some beginning understandings about color and design choices. Bonnie and Hannah were great about sharing their experiences and how their own personal styles inform their embroidery choices. As long as you do what YOU like, it is all good! Embroidery is very calming and soothing and it is a perfect self-care choice for me because I am sitting quietly and have time for myself to be creative.
