Bonnie Liang

(AKA the Introverted Artist)

Bonnie has been a lifelong artist, doodling since she was old enough to hold a pencil. She graduated with a BFA in Fashion Design from Parsons School of Design in NYC & enjoyed a 10-year career in fashion illustration working at Vogue/Butterick/

McCall Patterns. In addition to teaching through BonnaH Co, Bonnie is a part-time instructor at One River School, where she's teaching Digital & Studio Art to kids, teens, and adults. Bonnie calls Fairfield, CT "home" with her husband and their two kids.

Hannah Choi

(AKA the Outgoing Sewist)

Hannah comes from a long line of women fiber artists. Growing up around sewing, knitting, crocheting, embroidering, or weaving instilled in her the value of using her hands to create. Hannah has always been passionate about kids & education. She's currently an executive function coach for Beyond BookSmart and hosts a podcast called Focus Forward. Hannah feeds her creativity by sewing clothes for herself. Hannah lives in Fairfield, CT with her husband and their two kiddos.

Got Questions?

HOW DID YOU COME UP WITH YOUR NAME?

We started BONNAH CO as a 50/50 partnership, so we wanted our name to reflect that! BON is half of Bonnie and NAH is half of Hannah...put them together and you get BONNAH CO! (And HANNIE just didn't sound right.)

WHAT TYPES OF FIBER ARTS DO YOU TEACH?

We currently offer classes that introduce students to embroidery, sewing (hand and machine), macrame, fashion design, and surface design techniques like fabric stamping and fabric painting.

DO I NEED ANY EXPERIENCE TO TAKE A CLASS?

Most of our classes are created for beginners. If the class is for more advanced students, it will state the skills needed to succeed in the class.

WHERE CAN I TAKE A CLASS?

We usually have 12 or less students in each class.

CAN I HOST A PARTY?

Absolutely! We love teaching small classes and what better way than in the comfort of your own home with a close group of friends or family. Find out more on our Classes Page and then Contact us to learn about hosting a party.
