An Introduction to
Clothing Repair
We are so excited to have you join us for our Visible Mending class sponsored by the Fairfield Public Library! Holey and stained clothes don’t have to be tossed! We can all do our part to reduce textile waste by having a mending practice, all while adding some cute details to our clothing.

Instructional Videos -- Please watch before class
To save time, we will be running the class with the expectation that you know how to thread a needle and tie a knot at the end of a length of thread. In our knot-tying video, we teach our favorite method of tying a knot. If you know another method, please feel free to use that!

You'll notice that your thread came twisted. The third video below will teach you how to both store your threads this way and also how to remove a single thread. It's like magic! Watch the video to learn!
